iPhone 16 series with new Apple’s A18 and A18 Pro chips

iPhone 16 lineup has been announced by Apple and it comes with faster, more efficient A18 and A18 Pro chips developed using Arm’s newest V9 AI chip design. iOS 18 will be released on 16 September, while the new smartphones will be released on 20 September, but pre-orders begin on 13 September.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus come with improved battery life, expanded display sizes and slimmer bezels with rear cameras designed to shoot Spatial Photos. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display sizes and feature a 48 MP Fusion camera with a 2x telephoto option and will be available in black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine.

The will come in 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage capacities at $799 or $33.29 per month, and $899 or $37.45 per month respectively.

The Pro models come with 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively and have ultra-thin bezels and titanium cases and are powered by the new A18 Pro chip for faster performance and greater efficiency for high-demand tasks like video editing and gaming. The 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will be available in black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium in 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB storage capacities. The 16 Pro starts at $999 or $41.62 per month, and 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199 or $49.95 per month.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max pack a 48 MP Fusion camera, a 48 MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus and a 5x telephoto lens. They also support 4K video recording at 120 fps in Dolby Vision and more advanced editing features for both video and audio.

Apple has also unveiled new smartwatches and AirPods with health-focused capabilities, A18 and A18 Pro chips, iOS 18.1 with new Apple Intelligence writing tools plus satellite connect for safety allowing users to connect to the nearest satellite to send and receive texts, emoji, and Tapbacks over iMessage and SMS while outside of cellular and Wi-Fi coverage.
