VivaTech, an annual technology conference dedicated to recognizing and empowering innovative companies that focus on Africa, is currently inviting ambitious startups to apply for its fourth edition of the AfricaTech Awards.
VivaTech is a pan-African initiative that recognizes and supports startups striving to make a positive impact in areas such as Climate Tech, Health Tech, E-commerce & FinTech.
Tech startups provide vital solutions to major global challenges and help foster sustainable development. Despite increasing interest from investors, startups across the African continent often struggle to raise the capital necessary to scale their business.
Through the AfricaTech Awards, VivaTech aims to create new opportunities for emerging startups in Africa. The program provides privileged moments for networking and mentoring with the leaders in tech, major investors, policymakers, and institutions, promoting the brightest African innovators shaping the future.
This year, the program will focus on three critical areas: green technology, e-health, and e-commerce/fintech. To qualify for the competition, a startup must be operating in Africa, have its headquarters on the continent, and provide solutions or products that cater to the African market. Additionally, the startup must have raised over $150,000.
Winners in each of the three categories will gain increased visibility and access to extensive networks provided by VivaTech. This includes exclusive one-on-one meetings with leading executives in the tech industry, robust networking opportunities with top corporate partners, and the chance to pitch directly to elite venture capital funds.
Moreover, winners will have the opportunity to refine their ideas alongside fellow entrepreneurs, enhance their profiles within the VivaTech program, and be featured in the VivaTech communication plan.
The grand ceremony to celebrate the AfricaTech Awards winners, along with other VivaTech challenge winners, will take place on June 12 during the Award Ceremony.
