Safaricom has introduced a new advertising strategy which will give you free airtime for listening to ads.

Safaricom is always creating new and innovative ways to get their customers involved in their strategies and they are quite smart because people always love free things. Customers can now enroll and subscribe to a service where they have to listen to several ads so they can get free data or airtime.

Here’s how you can enroll:

  1. Subscribe to the service by dialling *897# to enrol
  2. Here you will hear adverts in place of the ringing tone as they wait for the customer they are calling to pick up.
  3. If you enrol you will receive free 5 MB data or free 1-minute for adverts you listen too

If you’re not a lover of ads then this is not what you need to enroll to because you have to listen to 3 adverts which are at least 6 seconds long but then you can accumulate your data and airtime every first day of the month. You can unsubscribe at any time and fortunately, no matter what time you unsubscribe, the data or minutes you have will be valid till the first day of the following month.
