To improve service delivery for customers, Naivas has partnered with e-commerce company Jumia. Customers in the Ngong Road, Community Area, Hurlingham, Mbagathi, Kileleshwa, and Lavington areas can now order a variety of products from Naivas Foodmarket (Prestige) on Jumia Food.

The partnership will begin with Naivas Foodmarket at Prestige Plaza on Ngong Road, before expanding to its other locations across the country.

According to Willy Kimani, Chief Commercial Officer at Naivas, the new partnership is an important step toward realizing the retailer’s mission, particularly in light of the changing retail environment.

“Our goal is to serve Kenyans at every opportunity by providing a mobile experience that makes it as simple as possible for them to acquire products as quickly as possible at their convenience,” Kimani said.

“Today’s online shopper is mobile-driven, using mobile to do his/her shopping and smartphones to place orders more frequently. This collaboration allows our customers to save time and money by having the majority of their daily household needs available at the click of a button. This allows them to concentrate on other things that are more important to them. The collaboration will provide shoppers with a contact-free shopping experience, as we will ensure that everything the consumer desires are delivered to their doorstep,” said Kenneth Oyolla, Chief Commercial Officer, Jumia Kenya.

With over 70 branches in Kenya, Naivas currently has a strong market share in the region. To make the online venture a success, the retailer is counting on its wide range of products and low prices, as well as its large customer base.
