As per information from a Korean source, the Cupertino firm is testing the screen for its upcoming iPad Mini. The company is purportedly trying an 8.3-inch 120 Hz display with Bluetooth technology, similar to the one featured on the iPhone 13 Pro.

The Korean firm cites the specifications comparable to the current iPad, including an A15 Bionic CPU, 4 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage on the basic model. Because it’s likely that Apple just took over the base of its existing model for testing, this information is subject to change.

Although it is too early to speculate on a new model, the move to a 120 Hz LCD panel seems to align with the manufacturer’s thinking. This technology enables the device to adjust the refresh rate of the screen based on the user’s preferences. This allows you to get the most out of the screen in apps that need ultra-responsive displays, such as games while conserving battery life when the display isn’t in use.
