Samsung Electronics has retained fifth place in Interbrand’s 2026 Best Global Brands ranking, becoming the only Asia-based company to remain in the global top five every year since 2020.

The latest valuation of $105.2 billion reflects Samsung’s financial performance, investments in artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors, expanding AI capabilities across its consumer electronics portfolio and efforts to strengthen its global brand strategy.

Interbrand attributed the recognition partly to record earnings supported by investments in AI semiconductors, improved AI competitiveness within Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division and its customer-focused One Samsung strategy.

Samsung’s Device Solutions (DS) Division has benefited from growing demand for high-performance memory products used in AI infrastructure. The company has also strengthened its position in advanced memory manufacturing, becoming the first to begin mass production and commercial shipments of HBM4.

Meanwhile, its DX Division is expanding AI-powered experiences across smartphones, televisions and home appliances, integrating devices through a connected ecosystem designed to make everyday activities more convenient.

Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8, its eighth-generation foldable smartphone, featuring a redesigned form factor and a 4:3 display aspect ratio. The company said the device has attracted younger consumers while broadening the appeal of foldable smartphones across different age groups.

Interbrand evaluates global brands annually using financial performance and future earnings prospects, the influence of brands on consumer purchasing decisions and their competitive strength. Its assessment also considers brand strategy, empathy, differentiation, customer engagement, consistency and trust.

Samsung’s latest ranking reinforces its position among the world’s leading technology brands as competition intensifies around AI infrastructure, connected devices and consumer-facing artificial intelligence.
