Econet Expands Its 4G Network With Plans Underway For 5G.

Wireless mobile operator Econet has hinted on plans to roll out 5G networks ahead of rival telecommunications company in a quest to increase efficiency and convenience to subscribers across the country.

Econet will however begin expanding its current 4G to other areas countrywide other than the already few installed towns as part of its investment plan. Being the largest mobile service provider, the telco was first to take data services a notch higher when it first launched 3G in 2009 and commenced building an extensive fibre optic network to provide its subscribers with fast networks on their devices.

Before rolling out the anticipated 5G network though, the company plans on first aligning the current networks by acquiring better infrastructure to drive speed and improve on the data services too. In collaboration with its associate liquid Telkom the largest internet service and access provider, Econet has a broad strategy for social and community investment.
