A 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a brightness of up to 1,500 nits is found on both devices. The Vivo X80 Pro has QHD+ resolution, HDR10+, and a refresh rate range of 1 to 120 Hz. The Vivo X80, on the other hand, is satisfied with FHD+ resolution and a display that runs at a steady 120 Hz, which is less energy efficient.
The two smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, etched in 4 nm. In select areas, the Pro version may swap to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which is likewise carved in 4 nm. We have the option of 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 (only on the Vivo X80), 256, or 512 GB of storage space, depending on the configuration.
The Vivo X80 Pro and Vivo X80 have a 4,700 mAh battery, whereas the Vivo X80 has a 4,500 mAh battery. Both variants have the same charging power: up to 80 W for wired and 50 W for induction.
With a 50 MP ISOCELL GNV primary sensor with optical stabilization, a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle IMX598 module, and a 12 MP telephoto lens with x2 optical zoom, the Vivo X80 Pro seems to be well-equipped. It also boasts an 8-megapixel periscopic lens with optical and digital zooms of up to x5 and x60, respectively.
The Vivo X80 has a more lively design, with a 50 MP IMX866 main module, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12 MP telephoto lens allowing optical zooms of up to x2. In both situations, the selfie camera is 32 MP.
The Vivo X80 and x80 Pro are 5G and Wi-Fi 6 compatible and run Android 12 with a customized Origin OS overlay in China but Funtouch OS in Africa and Europe.
