After 3 intensive months of work, nine startups which were accepted into 88mph accelerator will pitch live Thursday April 25to potential investors at the accelerators Cape Town base, formerly the Umbono.
The Demo Day will provide a platform for the startups to showcase their ideas and achievements to potential investors.
88mph’s programme focuses on investing in technological startup companies at the seed stage and granting them access to business networks. It also provides guidance to grow their businesses as quickly as possible.
The selection of the nine startups was made after vetting 400 applicants from a range of different fields within the mobile tech sector. The startups chosen were all web mobile startups, so only required seed money and a large network of mentors to get their businesses up and running. The startups were all across Kenya and South Africa.

Easy2Map – Crazy customized Google Maps for a more personal touch.
Homebug – Manage your electricity consumption in real-time.
Peach Payments – Payments solution for emerging markets.
LiquidCrunch – SMEs can auction off large invoices and improve cash flow.
The Massive – Property management & decisions made easy.
Near a Builder – Home owners find builders. Builders find customers. Amen for simplicity.
Wabona – Bringing African movies and series, to locally based& diaspora customers.
Zapacab– Uber for Africa.
