Zambia’s MTN Unveils Country’s Biggest Internet Promotion

MTN Zambia has increased its internet speed to 42 Mbps making it the country’s fastest mobile data network.

“We have invested heavily in data infrastructure in line with our new vision to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world. MTN Zambia has clearly led in delivering a superior network in terms of voice and data or internet quality and speed, Our new data speeds of up to 42Mbps creates an unbeatable experience in internet usage for our valued customers and I am glad to note that the best is yet to come,” said Clement Asante, MTN Zambia Chief Marketing Officer.

The CMO announced that MTN has launched the Big Internet Bonanza promotion to ensure that their customers have the opportunity to experience the internet speed.

The Bonanza’s aim is to ensure the internet is available and affordable to the citizens through various device bundle offer, free data gifts and an introduction of the Social bundle which gives access to social networks like Facebook at an affordable price.

Asante said MTN Zambia sees this as part of its contribution to national development, as the company is leading in bridging the digital divide by helping to increase internet penetration in Zambia, an important ingredient for economic development

“Our research shows that there is high demand for mobile broadband but access is limited due to device prices and that’s why MTN has made available low cost internet enabled devices as part of this internet drive initiative as low as K115. This device comes with free 150MB data,” said the MTN Zambia CMO.

Customers will get free 150MB for purchase of K105 MTN MF190 Modem and 30MB MTN social Bundle for Facebook at K6.5 per month.

Other rewards include 50 percent discounts on MTN Voice chat and MTN Radio respective subscriptions on Fridays, and for customers who who keep their data devices active, they will receive random data giveaways.
