Orange Kenya has launched a low cost wireless Internet solution at the Kenyatta University’s main campus; this service will provide the varsity’s students with reliable and affordable Internet access.
The Wi-Fi solution gives students the convenience of accessing high speed Internet, despite the SIM card in their Internet enabled devices. All that is required is for the user to switch on the Wi-Fi functionality on their devices and then purchase Internet bundles using Orange Mobile top up cards.
The minimum bundle offering on the volume based billing will be 20 MB at a cost of KSh20, and the maximum will be a 500 MB bundle at KSh500.
All who use this service are bound to enjoy 100 percent bonus on the purchase of any data bundle over a three month period, ending May 2013, while every new user logging in for the first time will enjoy free browsing for the first ten minutes.
“Apart from being the most affordable Internet bundle in the market, we are ensuring that the students’ cost of entry is kept low since there is no need to purchase alternate devices,” says Company CEO, Mickael Ghossein.
