Telecel sponsors Hifa mobile App

Telecel-2nd-StreetTelecel Zimbabwe has sponsored an app that will help attendants of the upcoming Harare International Festival of the Arts (Hifa)  access the programme on their cellphones.

The users of the appare able to view the full programme of events, which includes dates, times and venues of the various performances. The visitors to the festival can also read the profiles of performing artists as well as read and submit reviews for shows. They will also be connected to the live social feed on social platforms.

Developed by C2 Media, a web and mobile app development company, the mobile app is free and is already available for download for Android and iOS users on all networks.

The Android app is available from the Google Play store, while the iOS app is available from the App Store.

“The mobile app is available for all networks. Those who have android and IOS phones will have access to information regarding the festival at any time and wherever they may be, making it possible to see the performances available and make informed choices as to what to go to.

“It will be easy for them to find out what is happening, where it is happening and at what time it will be taking place,” commented Telecel communications and branding director Obert Mandimika.

“In previous years people had to purchase or download and print the festival programme and literally move around with it if they wanted to keep tabs on what was happening at the festival.

“Now everything will be available on their cellphone through the app,” he said.

“Hifa is the largest cultural event in Zimbabwe. It showcases the best in arts and culture. Our support, through this app, as well as through our sponsorship of the main stage, is an investment into the festival,” he added.

This is the fifth year in succession that Telecel has sponsored the main stage. It is the first time that it has sponsored a Hifa app.
