Telecommunications company MTN has began its annual staff volunteer programme themed “Education in the Digital World” that focuses on education by engaging in a number of activities aimed at promoting a conductive learning environment as well as draw attention to the fundamental role of education in the development of the nation.
The programme will see the telco equip classrooms digitally to drive access to digital learning in the country which will position a great number of pupils on the same platform as their counterparts in other developed countries to eradicate learning disadvantages.
Initiated in 2007, MTN staff members take pride in giving their time and skills across its 21 operations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Adopt a Girls’ school project, vocation is Education are also the side initiatives that will take place during the programme.
