ticketsasaPowered by PesaPal, Africa’s PayPal, Ticketsasa, an online ticketing platform has entered the onlne hotel and flight booking market with the release of TicketSasa Travel, a move set to disrupt businesses held by TravelStart, Jovago, Booking.com among others.
Now live to the public, TicketSasa Travel enables users to buy Air tickets, do Airport shuttles transfers, find holiday packages and book for hotels across Africa and Hotel reservations.
” At Ticketsasa, we are building a lifestyle brand. It is all about enjoying the little pleasures of life. With the recent inclusion of travel onto our platform, clients can buy event tickets for events in East Africa, buy air tickets, book hotel accommodation, and get the best travel packages on the platform. We are also introducing Ticketsasa mobile apps to strengthening our position in the mobile and tablet space,” Agosto Liko, PesaPal founder (TicketSasa’s parent firm) told TechMoran.
According to the firm, TicketSasa Travel aims to make booking for flights and hotels, fast, secure and simple and as well allow online payments securely and conveniently. The platform allows one to choose their departure airport and arrival destination and pick a date, then the platform displays a variety of available flights, their prices and their providers. A user then picks the flight they prefer then pay for it online using PesaPal. They then get their tickets send to their emails which they can either print or just save on their desktops.
ticketsasatrFor hotels, a users chooses a country and region where they want to visit and the dates they plan to visit. Ticketsasa lists a range of hotels in the area they choose from and then at a click of a button pay online. Users have the opportunity to Pay online using PesaPal, Visa, MasterCard, M-pesa, Airtel Money and YuCash.
TicketSasa Travel is available to anyone online anywhere in the world but the firm is focusing on growing markets such as Africa and Latin America. Of course it’s uptake will be higher in East Africa and the larger Sub-Saharan Africa where TicketSasa is based. By doing both hotels and flights, TicketSasa Travel brings convenience to users who had to go from one platform to another searching for hotels and flights differently.
