Airtel Kenya will be offering a two year insurance cover to all its customers who buy iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in any of its designated outlets in the country.

This insurance will cover the phone over accidental damage or theft, and by accidental damage the telco company means physical damage or destruction caused by an accident. Aside from that, Apple will continue to give its default one-year warranty upon purchase of and iPhone and any Apple accessories contained in the original packaging.

Airtel has also announced that it will offer unique data plans to customers who purchase the new devices from Airtel outlets. Customers who buy the 16GB which goes for Ksh85, 999 or the 64GB iPhone 6 that costs Ksh95, 999 will get a 3GB data per month for 3 months. Customers who purchase the 16GB at Kshs95, 999 or 64GB iPhone 6 Plus at Ksh105, 999 will get 4GB data per month for 4 months.

Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi said: “Besides the competitive pricing and unique data offers,  the device insurance offer by Airtel provides our customers with safety and security of their devices and the peace of mind while they use their iPhone device powered by Airtel’s quality network in Kenya”.

This comes two days after Airtel Kenya told the public that it had made pre-orders of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models, an action they said will help their customers to get their hands on the latest devices.

‘Our decision to stock the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus speaks to this quest to meet our customer needs and we remain confident that our world-class network will provide a seamless customer experience on this latest incarnation of the iPhone’

Phone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are available at the following Airtel shops in the country: Parkside shop, Sarit Centre shop, Koinange shop, Moi Avenue shop, Mombasa Moi Avenue shop, Nyali shop, Galleria, Lavington, Village Market, Nyeri shop and Eldoret Shop.
