member of parliament for Imenti South Mr Gideon Mwiti allegedly raped his 29-year old  communications consultant in his office in Westlands prompting varied reactions from people who watched the story on various news channels.

According to the reports the lady had gone for a business meeting that neevr took place as the MP allegedly forced her to have a HIV test then proceeded to tear up her clothes and raped her repeatedly.

“He beat me up and tore my clothes. He also told me to stop behaving as if I did not know what he wanted. He then tore my clothes off and he raped me repeatedly,” she alleged.

The MP came out strongly denying the allegations with supposed alibis in tow that claimed to be with the MP at the time of the alleged rape which took place  at 10.30 pm.

As expected, reactions are usually varied to such news and popular comedian weighed in on the matter on his Facebook and Twitter account posing: ‪”#‎JustAsking….So, a MARRIED WOMAN agrees to meet a honorable MALE MP at 10:30 pm?… ALONE …?”

To which he got severe backlash from his fans on Facebook many who maintained that the woman was not to blame for the alleged rape.

“And why can a married woman ask to meet a married woman at 10.30 pm….Kenyan men are just pathetic chauvinists,” posed Maggie Nyash

“Why should a married woman show up for Churchill show at 8.00 pm?” Mluya Jeuri asked

“So that justifies rape? You should be more responsible in your posts especially with such a huge following,” cautioned Mzee mzima Walta

In his defense Churchill said that his post was not to heap blame on the woman but to initiate conversation on rape. He has since apologised and the post was brought down.
