Inukapap wins the Kenya round of Seedstars World

Inukapap won the Kenya round of Seedstars World and will represent the country at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland to compete for up to USD 1 million in equity investment.

 InukaPap, is a mobile platform that allows subscribers to access free medical insurance by saving and borrowing loans, was selected the best startup in Kenya and will be participating at Seedstars Summit, taking place in Switzerland in April 2017, a weeklong training program with the opportunity to meet the other 60 winners, as well as investors and mentors from around the world.

Traditionally, the final day of the Summit will be dedicated to pitching in front of audience of 1000 attendees, with the possibility of winning up to the USD 1 million equity investment.

1st runner up was Mobilized Construction, a company that de-mechanizes road maintenance by mobilizing local labor to manually build climate resilient dirt roads. Ujuzi Software Solutions Ltd a company provides AML solutions for all segments of the market including banks, investment banks, forex bureaus and remittance providers as a solution to fight money laundering in Africa grabbed the last spot in the top 3.

The other startups invited to pitch were Lakt co, OptiSmart Solutions, Kuza, Ujuzi Software Solutions Ltd, Flexpay Technologies Mobilized Construction, Farmers Pride, Olivine Technology, Student Finance Africa (SFA), iNuka Pap limited.
