The One Plus has a been a very interesting company, it is among the youngest in the mobile manufacturing field but also among the fastest rising. What makes the company special is the flagship-rivaling hardware it produces and sells at very affordable prices. It has been making headlines for all sorts of things from weird marketing stunts to new products iterations. This time round, the company has made a partnership with a French fashion house, called Colette, to produce the One Plus 3T Colette Edition.
Colette is a brand that has been in the fashion industry since 1997, it prides itself as an experience which offers “a never ending assortment of fashion, high-tech, arts, streetwear, beauty and waters.” The company decided to team up with One Plus to release the device as a celebration to their 20th anniversary.
The One Plus 3T Colette Edition is, for the most part, very similar to the previous 3T, available in Kenya through Avechi stores, but there are some minor differences. The Colette Edition comes with the Colette logo on a black paint job, a whopping 128 GB internal storage with no expansion slot, and a higher price tag of €479 (KES 52,877 according to current exchange rates ). Only 250 units will be produced, all of which will be available in the Colette Paris store on 21st March at 11 AM.
The remaining specs are very high end and similar to the usual 3T. They include 5.5 Full HD AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 821 coupled with a whopping 6GB RAM. Photography is done with a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 16 MP front facing camera. The system is under the command of Android 6.0 and powered by a 3400 mAh which supports the legendary Dash Charge feature that fills the battery to 60% in only 30 minutes. A finger print sensor is on-board as well and located under the screen.
If this phone follows the sales tradition of the other products from One Plus, there is chance that the stock will end before the store closes that day.
