The newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note 8 flagship phablet go head-to-head with the back-from-the-dead Samsung Galaxy Note FE (the Galaxy Note 7 replacement).
The Galaxy Note FE was Samsung’s way of saying “Hey! We apologize for our mistake on the Note 7. Here’s a fault-free, cheaper and re-branded edition of the Note 7 specially made for you… and it would be called the Galaxy Note Fan Edition (FE)”. Not like Samsung went ahead into the factory and made new Note FS’s. Not at all. The company only repaired the recalled Note 7s and gave them a new identity, a new life.
The Galaxy Note 8 on the other hand is Samsung’s present flagship device and a successor to the Note FE.
