Equity Group is set to launch an online foreign exchange platform for SMEs and large corporates dubbed EazzyFX. The platform main aim is to improve the experience of buying and selling foreign currency. The platform will ensure traders will not need to make transactions via phone or face to face, as well as ascertain access to competitive prices on major traded currencies. Equity Bank MD, Polycarp Igathe said, “In eliminating the need for face-to-face transactions, businesses are assured of greater ease in buying and selling foreign currencies without being restricted by geography and time. Our platform promises speed, convenience, security and gives our SME and Corporate customers access to the best deals in the market.”
The platform also features real-time streaming access and prompt tailored request-for-quotation services. It also has a dahsboard from which users can customize their profiles.
EazzyFX is currently accessible via the web, however, Equity says the platform will be integrated into the Eazzy Banking app in early 2019.
In future, EazzyFX will be rolled out for use in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and DRC.
