Realme 5i unveiled Supporting a 5,000mAh Battery and Quad Rear Camera Setup

The Realme 5i has been unveiled, bringing on four cameras and a large 5,000mAh battery. The phone costs approximately $160 or €145.

The main shooter on the back supports a 12MP sensor and an f/1.8 aperture. It aswell comes with an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, which covers the 119-degree field of view and supports Super Night mode.

The main camera can shoot 4K video at 30fps or go slow with 120fps slow-mo mode. Additionally, two more cameras cover the 2MP macro camera which can focus at 4cm distance and 2MP depth sensor. Other features include 4K video capture at 30fps, slo-mo video recording at 120fps.

The device boasts of a video recording enabled by the 11nm Snapdragon 665 chipset. The chipset houses four Kryo 260 Gold and four 260 Silver cores A73 and A53  plus an Adreno 610 GPU.

Realme 5i Specifications

The device runs on  Android 9 Pie and comes in two colours, blue and green. It also has a 6.5-inch HD+  around 720 x 1600 pixels display with a waterdrop notch, 1200:1 contrast ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ for protection.

The display has 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio and is claimed to deliver 480 nits of peak brightness. The Realme 5i draws power from the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM.

Realme 5i comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports for 10W charging. It offers up to 64GB of onboard storage that can further be expanded via a microSD card.

According to Gadgets 360 blogpost, Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and GPS. Sensors onboard the Realme 5i are a compass, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and fingerprint sensor for authentication. Dimensions of the Realme phone are 164.4 x 75 x 9.3mm and it tips the scales at 195 grams.

To add on that, Realme 5i offers two memory configurations a 3/32GB and 4/64GB with a dedicated microSD card slot next to the two SIM slots.

Besides the cameras, the battery is the other major selling point of the 5i. It has 5,000mAh capacity and with reverse (wired) charging, you can use it as a power bank to top up your accessories.

It has a 3.5mm headphone jack on top. Most phone brands have discontinued it.

Realme lists the battery life for various use cases, including 9.4 hours of PUBG or 19.1 hours of YouTube.

The device has a  special coating on internal and external components t0 make the phone splash-proof.
