How to send and receive text messages to your PC without a cell phone

Here are a few steps on how to view text messages on your computer online and offline for mobile phones running Android and iPhone.

  • Just go to Google Play Store or App Store to search for Airdroid.
  • Open it after installing the Airdroid
  • Now, if you want to access messages locally on your PC, make sure that both your PC and your mobile are on the same network.
  • Click the transfer icon at the bottom of the Airdroid.
  • Select the Web from Airdroid.
  • You’ll see two options, one of which we connect through the web to remotely access messages and phones, and the other is for locally.
  • The IP will be displayed on the phone screen to connect locally.
  • After entering the IP address, a  Airdroid home screen will open with different options such as SMS/Messages, File Manager, Music, Photos and more.
  • To open it, click the Messages icon.
  • Read and view all your phone messages on your computer.
  • Even you can send messages directly from your PC to anyone without the need for any other third-party software or physical access to your phone.
  • The great thing is that Airdroid also provides a Windows and Mac Os native client.
