South Africa’s Edtech ixperience Raises $2.5 Million Series A Investment

The South Africa Edtech iXperience has secured $ 2.5 m series A investment from Kalon Venture Partners and Caleo Private Equity.

The aim of the fund is to grow its team, continue to invest its tech platform, launch its programmes across different markets and build its global strategic partnership division that is focused on working with corporations, governments and institutions on building career readiness programmes or for the future of work.

Aaron Fuch,the CEO of the Firm said, the world is changing at an exponential rate and current education systems are not keeping up. We believe that in the next century ,learning wont just be concentrated on Youth, but interwoven throughout a persons life as they transition across careers and life priorities.

He added that their mission is to build immersive and transformational learning experiences that close this gap and give students the best possible life.

Kalon Ventures partners said that as at the moment ,iXperience has over 2500 alumni and partners with institutions and consumers alike to bridge the gap between traditional education and the skills companies require in todays rapidly evolving work.

And that the company uses its proprietary technology platform to ensure students success through the learning experience.

The success of the company is based on the quality of instructors as well as the stature of students who enroll on their program as majority of them come from top institutions such as Harvard ,Princeton, oxford ,Yale and University of Cambridge among others.

iXperience partners with institutions to enable them remain relevant in a changing and professional environment for instance University of Virginia,

According to CEO of Kalon Venture ,Olive Butkow, their decision to invest was strongly motivated by the exceptional quality of the entrepreneurs and innovative technology platform surpassing what’s currently in the market. He said that they are excited for the investment ,not only for its potential returns but also for positive social impact the company will have in contributing to and driving the digital education sector.

iXperience started in 2013 as a study online coding boot camp that would bridge the gap between academia and industry. Since then its grown into a global operation that has helped more than 2000 students accelerate their careers while exploring the world. Throughout the focus of the company has remained on creating authentic connections within the community.

Kalon Venture partners invests and builds a portfolio of high growth technology companies, with innovative business model geared to existing and emerging institutions and their customers. While Caleo capital is a privately owned investment manager. It also provides wealth management and corporate advisory services.
