Microsoft Teams gets music mode

More high resolution audio combined with automatics should provide a better sound experience even in mobiles.

Microsoft will soon start releasing an update to Microsoft Teams that will provide better sound whether you’re using a computer or mobile phone. The audio setting is called music mode but will be available regardless of whether music is playing or not.

The new audio mode will automatically adjust the sound quality depending on the amount of bandwidth available. The highest quality will be a sampling rate of 32 kHz mono audio of 128 kbps, but can be automatically adjusted down to 48 kbps.

Users will also be able to turn off features such as echo elimination, noise cancellation et cetera, to get as natural a sound reproduction as possible.

Music mode in Teams will be released this July.
