Despite its modest specifications, the Nokia T20 is entering the Android tablet market and may find a place for itself.HMD Global re-enters the tablet market with the Nokia T20, a device with compelling arguments in a field that has seen many manufacturers abandon it in recent years.

The Nokia T20 has a 10.36-inch screen with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels. The HMD communicates at a “2K” resolution, although it is not 1440p. The slab has a typical brightness of 400 nits and is low blue light emission certified.

Another strong point in the device’s favour is its large 8,200 mAh battery, which should provide it with plenty of battery life. USB-C charging can deliver up to 15 W of electricity. The processor used by the team is a Tiger T610, a relatively unknown SoC that has previously been seen in the Teclast tablet and Honor and HiSense smartphone models. It has a somewhat lesser performance than the Snapdragon 662, according to benchmarks.

The tablet comes with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage capacity, with a microSD card slot that can be expanded up to 512 GB depending on the configuration. In terms of connectivity, the Nokia T20 does not support the most recent technologies, instead of relying on Wi-Fi 5 and 4G, which should suffice for most purposes.

There includes an 8-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Two microphones are integrated to capture voice, and audio is provided through stereo speakers and a 3.5mm connection. The tablet, which runs Android 11, will be updated to the following two versions of Android thanks to a two-year feature monitoring warranty. Three years of monthly security fixes will be given. Google has also recognized the Nokia T20 as Android Enterprise Recommended.
