Your OPPO smartphone could be animated by an in-house Soc shortly. In any case, this is what the manufacturer is planning to do, and there are no signs of stepping down.

In the smartphone market currently, only a few smartphones brands can brag of being very independent of Qualcomm Processors. Apple has its Bionic chips, Samsung has its Exynos chips. In contrast, Huawei has its Kirin chips, and soon enough, Oppo will also have their chips precisely before 2024, as per information from Nikkei.

As a result, OPPO will work on a new chip carved in 3 nm using TSMC technology. In addition to the processor’s raw speed, the company wants to improve AI to gain different benefits, such as reduced energy usage and improved photography.

Suppose this turns out to be a success. In that case, Oppo will not be the only brand to benefit from, such as OnePlus smartphones will take advantage given that the relationship between the two manufacturers has been more than solid for a few months, particularly in terms of R&D.

The OPLUS group is in charge of the OPPO, OnePlus, and realme brands, with the latter being controlled by the BBK Electronics group, which also oversees the Vivo brand.
