Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 has specific unique tasks that had previously only been available on smartwatches. The manufacturer also plans to add previously exclusive functionality to older smartwatches. This comes after the release of the Galaxy Watch 4 classic ver with the wear OS 3.
The South Korean manufacturer wants to provide upgrades even for watches manufactured in the year 2018. The only catch here is that not every smartwatch will be equipped with the most advanced functions. The smartwatch that will benefit from the update includes:
- Galaxy Watch
- Galaxy Watch Active
- Galaxy Watch Active 2
- Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatches
The latest firmware is already available for download via the Galaxy Wearable app, depending on your location. You must first provide the appropriate Bluetooth versions. The extended case detection should work on the Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Watch Active 2 as a highlight. The watch delivers an SOS notification to previously specified contacts when it senses a fall.
