Google’s Pixel smartphones benefit from a lot of valuable features

The Pixel series from the Tech Giant(Google) are at the vanguard of Android innovations. As reported by Google on their Blog, they have just received their newest dubbed as feature drop. A function that allows them to expand their capabilities.

For example, the Pixel 3, Pixel 4, Pixel 5, and  Pixel 6 series of smartphones have a helpful feature, “car accident recognition,” to save lives. The feature is already available in the US and other countries like Taiwan and Italy for Pixel 3 and later devices. Its entry in Africa has not yet been confirmed.

How to enable this feature

  • Launch the Safety app
  • Select Settings from the menu
  • Tap Car crash detection under “Detection & notifications.”
  • Activate the Car Crash Detection feature and Allow every time you’re prompted to reveal your location and share your Microphone

Once enabled in the phone’s Safety menu, this feature will be able to detect if you’ve been in an accident. Whether you don’t respond, your Pixel will inquire if you’re hurt, and if you don’t, it will be able to share your location with emergency personnel. Of course, this capability is contingent on your ability to connect to a mobile network in the event of an accident.
