On March 7th, video of boda boda riders attacking a lady diplomat involved in a traffic altercation with a boda boda operator leaked online. One of the boda boda operators was apparently knocked out by the lady. Kenyans flocked to social media to share their horrific encounters with rogue boda boda riders. 16 bodaboda riders were detained and captured as a result of the public outcry, which included tweets from prominent government officials.
