Have you ever found yourself in a scenario where you mistakenly deleted an Instagram photo and now wish you could recover it?

Without the use of a third-party program, you can quickly restore deleted Instagram posts. Instagram features a ‘Recently Deleted’ option that allows users to restore recently deleted posts. It contains photographs, videos, reels, tales, and IGTV videos.

Since the feature’s formal launch in February 2021, deleted posts have remained in the ‘Recently Deleted’ section for 30 days. The folder’s contents are then immediately erased. Instagram Stories, on the other hand, are only viewable in the folder for 24 hours before being completely erased. There is additional verification before restoring to avoid malicious hacker attempts to delete or restore your stuff.

Here is how you can successfully restore your Instagram posts from the ‘Recently Deleted’ folder.

Recover Deleted Instagram Posts

  1. Open the Instagram app.
  2. Go to your Profile.
  3. Tap on the hamburger menu (three lines) at the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Click on Account and tap on Recently Deleted. Your recently deleted content is displayed.
  6. Select the post you want to recover. Tap on the three dots icon at the top. Here you can choose whether to permanently delete a post or restore it.
  7. Click Restore to recover the deleted content.
  8. For security reasons, a verification code is sent to confirm your identity. An OTP (one-time password) is sent to either your email address or phone number.
  9. Enter the code received and click Confirm.
  10. The deleted Instagram post will be successfully restored.
