Chromecast is now available to everyone, thanks to Google’s long-awaited update

Google introduced the Google TV user interface for Chromecast about two years ago. However, one helpful feature had been absent thus far: the option to create various user profiles.

That is beginning to change. Users using a Chromecast’s Google TV interface could only create a single user profile until recently. It’s okay if you live alone or if everyone in your household shares the same interests.

Because only recommendations tailored to this profile are shown on Google TV, but in which household or shared flat does everyone have the same tastes in movies and television shows? It usually goes like this: one like action-packed films, the other enjoys comedies, while the third enjoys anime.

Google announced the implementation of individual user profiles a few months ago. The wait is now over: a related update is now available.
