Additionally, Huawei may include premium services on laptops. The unique feature of this model is its Intel CPU, as opposed to the AMD setup of its predecessor. The customer has the option of either an i7-12700H or an i9-12900H CPU, with the latter being available a little later, in September.

The computer has 1 TB of M.2 NVMe storage and 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The connection includes two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C connections, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.0 socket, and a 3.5 mm jack port for connecting wired or wireless headphones.

The 3:2 ratio and narrow boundaries of the 16-inch IPS LCD screen are well suited to the demands of a professional or student using a computer for work. According to Huawei, the touch panel has a definition of 2,520 × 1,680 pixels and gains from improved colorimetry.

The webcam of the Huawei Matebook 16S has also been upgraded. The popularity of telework and videoconferencing compels us to address this issue. The maker states that it is possible to modify or blur the backdrop, independent of the application used and that the camera quality ranges from 720 to 1080p.

Audio capture is not left out, with the integration of a noise reduction microphone that allows you to be heard by your interlocutor, even when you are in a noisy environment.

The Huawei Matebook 16S is announced for 1,699 euros in its i7 version and is already available for pre-order for an official release scheduled for July 12. The model with an i9 CPU will be sold for 1,899 euros.
