WhatsApp finally gave its users access to more emoji response options.
This comes two weeks after Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, said the company was working on adding new emoji expressions. The new feature was introduced only a few months after WhatsApp made it possible to respond with merely six emoticons.
Holding down the message you want to respond to enables you to use the function. A menu of all available emoji replies then appears, from which you can select the one you want. In March, the first emoji response functionality was released.
An additional emoji reply may now be added using the + symbol in the app. Prior to being pushed out internationally, the new capability was seen in iOS and Android beta versions.
It’s a tiny upgrade, but as said, the increased capacity will enable more interaction possibilities within the app as Reactions become a more automatic and habitual response option for users. Additionally, it could introduce fresh ideas for brand encounters, adding a little spice to them. Emojis may be used in inventive ways, or you can invite consumers to answer you with various emojis as part of your outreach to elicit a distinct response.
