An update to WhatsApp’s calling functionality is announced.

The platform for instant messaging is introducing the Call Links functionality for voice calls. In only one swipe, you will be able to start and join a call, according to WhatsApp.

With the introduction of the Call Links feature, users may now effortlessly establish an audio or video call link to share with friends and family by tapping the “Call Links” option found under the Calls Tab. Users can use Call Links by simply updating their WhatsApp app to the newest version. Starting this week, the feature will be released.

A test of secure encrypted video calling for up to 32 individuals was also disclosed by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta.

Voice calls already have a feature like this. Now that WhatsApp has a video calling capability that supports 32 individuals, it is evident that it is competing with rival group video calling services like Zoom and Microsoft Teams, among others.

All users are gradually receiving the Call Links feature on a worldwide scale.

If you haven’t already, this implies that you will soon be able to use the feature. The latest version of the WhatsApp app can be downloaded by users by visiting their local app stores. For the Google Play store on Android, click here, and for the App Store on iPhone, click here.

Recently, WhatsApp introduced a few privacy features, one of which is online status concealment. It has been stated that the feature will soon be available to everyone. In the upcoming months, everyone will be able to use WhatsApp’s online status masking feature, according to WhatsApp.

Users of the functionality will be able to keep their online status a secret from all or specific contacts. It will be simple to use the online status concealment feature. To access the feature, users only need to open WhatsApp, navigate to Settings > Account > Privacy, find the “Last seen and online” option at the top of the screen, and tap on it.
