An update to WhatsApp’s calling functionality is announced.
The platform for instant messaging is introducing the Call Links functionality for voice calls. In only one swipe, you will be able to start and join a call, according to WhatsApp.
With the introduction of the Call Links feature, users may now effortlessly establish an audio or video call link to share with friends and family by tapping the “Call Links” option found under the Calls Tab. Users can use Call Links by simply updating their WhatsApp app to the newest version. Starting this week, the feature will be released.
A test of secure encrypted video calling for up to 32 individuals was also disclosed by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta.
