Although the Apple iPhone 14 generation has just recently gone on sale officially, several self-styled experts are already making predictions about its likely sales numbers and the supposed implications for the projected manufacturing volume of specific models.

The high level of curiosity about the iPhone 14 Pro Max and its potential effects on the forthcoming iPhone 15 generation is being discussed once again by a well-known leaker. According to a tweet from the often accurate leaker Ming-Chi Kuo, thanks to the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s excellent sales performance, Apple may eventually be persuaded to provide its top smartphone model with even more distinguishing features and advantages over the smaller Pro model.

There are now just a few differences between the iPhone 14 Pro Max and its smaller sister model, and those differences are mainly a larger 6.7-inch OLED display and a bigger battery. Kuo’s prediction, however, does not align with many speculations that Apple would release a brand-new premium model named the iPhone 15 Ultra in 2019.

Therefore, there is still debate whether this model should replace the preceding “Pro Max” or broaden the product line to even higher price points. However, even without a potential ultra branding, there is ample evidence that the widespread use of the iPhone 14 Pro Max will force Apple customers to splurge even more money to get their hands on the best iPhone of the upcoming generation.

It remains to be seen whether the anticipated improvements in the camera and battery life are worthwhile.
