BrighterMonday Kenya Appoints Chris Otundo as New CEO

 BrighterMonday Kenya, the  job placement platform in East Africa, has announced the appointment of  Chris Otundo as the new CEO. Chris succeeds Brian Ntambirweki who has been the acting CEO of BrighterMonday Kenya and is currently serving as the CEO of BrighterMonday Uganda.

Chris’ career spans over a decade. He is experienced in digital talent management, and in a range of people disciplines including: organization design, job analysis, job evaluation, competency modeling, competency assessment, talent acquisition, culture assessment, change management, HR analytics, employer branding, employee value proposition, and HR Information Systems implementation.

Commenting on his new role as CEO, Chris Otundo said “ I am passionate about people and helping them discover their job fit. I enjoy resolving process issues with the goal of achieving objectives faster and more effectively. This new role is a milestone for me. I am in my niche and this opportunity gives me the platform to steer BrighterMonday Kenya, under The African Talent Company (TATC), into a new era with a refreshed mandate and new pillars. As we expand our efforts in Digital recruitment services, Hybrid recruitment services, Manpower Outsourcing, and Partnerships, I am looking forward to a great paradigm shift in the market because this is exactly what the African labour market has been waiting for, a balanced solution that addresses both sides of the labour market. I am confident that we are going to work to position BrighterMonday Kenya as a leader in providing effective career development and recruitment solutions in the African labour market.

Chris previously served as the Global Talent Acquisition Lead, Strategic Initiatives (Africa & Canada), leading the identification and attraction of key talent for strategic programs at the Mastercard foundation. Before that, he was the  Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition at Safaricom Plc, where he led a team of top talent professionals to attract, identify, and onboard talent, additionally focusing on succession planning strategies. Chris holds a Master’s in International Management (International Business) from Toulouse School of Management (France) and a BSc.Business Information Technology from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (Malaysia).
