Jumia Kenya launches its annual sales campaign Black Friday

 Jumia  Kenya has launched its annual sales campaign Black Friday which will run from 4th to 30th November 2022.The campaign is aimed at supporting businesses by reaching more consumers on the platform. 

 This year’s Black Friday will allow its customers buy goods from as low as Sh100 .Among the top discounts will be a 14–seater matatu retailing for only 100 bob! To kick off the campaign, Jumia will go Live with ‘Deal za soo’ (Buy for Ks100) on 3rd November at 11:59 PM with products like TV, phones, Fridges, cooking oil, and water dispensers.

This year’s Black Friday is unique given the challenging business environment for our sellers as difficult economic times persist. Jumia Black Friday will be in partnership with Transsion Holdings (Infinix, TECNO & itel) as Platinum sponsors and other brand partners like Vision Plus, Xiaomi, Beefeater, Nivea, Garnier, and Gordons.

The e-commerce company expects millions of consumers to log onto the Jumia App to leverage online sales.

The annual sales event, which was initiated in Kenya in 2015 by Jumia, continues to gain popularity amongst Kenyans. Such campaigns have largely contributed to the adoption of e-commerce countrywide through massive awareness.

Banks, notably Standard Chartered, I&M, and ABSA, have partnered with Jumia during this Black Friday to offer incentives through card payments. In addition, consumers will also enjoy a 20% discount for payments made through Mastercard cards.
