Samsung is preparing to roll out the One UI 5.1 update, based on Android 13, to a selection of its devices. According to SamMobile, a site known for its close relationship with Samsung, the update will debut on the upcoming Galaxy S23 series, which is set to be released next month. The Galaxy Z Fold 4, which was released in August 2022, is also being tested with the One UI 5.1 update and is expected to be one of the first devices to receive the upgrade.
In addition to the S23 series and Z Fold 4, the update is also being tested on the Galaxy S22 series and is expected to be released a few days after the S23’s promotional event. It’s worth noting that the One UI 5.1 update will not be available on all Samsung devices and it’s not yet clear which other models will receive the update.
In terms of features, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 boasts a foldable design with a main 7.6-inch display and a cover screen measuring 6.2 inches. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage options. The device also features a 4400 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and an IPX8 certification for water resistance. It runs on Android 12 with the One UI 4.1 interface.
