How to purchase Starlink internet in Kenya.

  • Enter your Kenyan address at starlink.com on the SpaceX coverage map. If your location is within the star links service region, this step will confirm it.
  • Sign now

Register for the service by entering your physical address and credit card details if your location is supported. You will be informed throughout the sign-up process if your Starlink kit will arrive within the typical two-week schedule or whether a waitlist will be created.

  • Payment and billing

Simple online billing is used for each month. Since it’s an automatic payment, you may set it up once and leave it alone after the first transaction. Cancellation is handled through the same web portal with no early termination fees or penalties.

Starlink satellite internet costs Ksh92,100 for the hardware, which costs Ksh89,000, Ksh3,100 for shipping and handling, and Ksh6,500 for the subscription fee, which must be renewed each month in order to access Starlink internet.

The kit comes with the Starlink dish, mounting tripod, Wi-Fi router, router mount, power supply, power supply mount, and cables.

Installing Starlink Internet in Kenya

Setting up your Starlink internet connection in Kenya is relatively easy as it includes easy-to-follow guidelines:

  • Connect the dish, stand, and cable together.

Unpack your Starlink kit and put the mounting base and dish together. Start by removing the dish’s connecting cable. Place the dish mask in the mounting base, being careful to line up the rail within the mount with the groove on the mast. The 75-foot connector cable should now be plugged in.

  • Choose a position where the dish will fit well.

The Starlink app can be used to locate a suitable location for the dish. Finding the ideal location with a clear view of the sky is made easier with the help of an interactive feature in the app. Make sure the location you choose provides at least 100 degrees of clear space above and around the dish.

  • Link the router.

The WI-FI router must be connected to your Starlink dish with the supplied cable as the last step. Once everything is finished, the router—which acts as the central hub for your internet connection—should be installed under general wifi router instructions.

That’s all there is to it. Once you’ve completed these steps, your high-speed Starlink internet connection should be ready for use.

To have the optimum Starlink performance, it’s crucial to locate a space with a clear view of the sky. Signal attenuation may occur if there are any barriers in the line of sight between your Starlink dish and the satellites. This may result in decreased internet speed, connection drops, and other issues.

Google Earth allows you to see a 3D model of your property and locate any potential obstacles. Once a location has been discovered, you may use the Starlink app to verify that it has a clear view of the sky.
