Safaricom has partnered with TerraPay (Mobex Kenya) to facilitate mobile transfer between Kenya, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.

More than 32 million M-PESA users will be able to send and receive money to and from more than 200 million people in Pakistan and Bangladesh thanks to this partnership.

How can one access this service?

• By dialling  *344# and selecting M-PESA Global under the “Send Money” option.
• MySafaricom App > Select M-PESA> Select M-PESA Global>Accept terms and conditions to Opt in > Select Send

Make sure the money is sent to the right person or company and you are free to cancel a wrong transaction.

If you use a bank, you will have to pay a fee whenever you send money abroad, regardless of whether you are sending a significant amount of money or frequently sending lesser sums to foreign bank accounts. The prices might really build up if exchange rates are taken into account. That’s why Safaricom and Terrapay has made it easy to send money transfers.

TerraPay joins a roster of more than 35 partners under the M-PESA Global service which enables customers in Kenya to send and receive money and make and receive payments across more than 170 countries.
