Steps to confirm a company’s validity.
Visit the E-Citizen website.
Open your chosen search engine and type “E-Citizen Kenya” into the search bar to start the process of confirming a company’s registration in Kenya. Once the search results are displayed, click on the official E-Citizen website link. The Kenyan government has created this platform as an internet gateway that provides a range of services, including checks on business registration.
Select the Business Registration Service after logging in.
Use your credentials to sign in to the E-Citizen website.
You must register if you don’t already have an account.
Find and select the “Business Registration Service” link after logging in. This will take you to a page with a variety of services.
Make use of the official search service.
You can choose from a number of options on the list of services. Look for the service number 10 indicated under “Official Search (Third Party Applications)”. Toggle this option on. Please be aware that this service is subject to a KSH 650 cost.
Conduct a company search
A pop-up notification alerting you of the associated cost will show once you have chosen the Official Search service. To continue, click “Apply Now”. You’ll be taken to a page with the title “Find a Business.” You can use the company’s name or registration number to look for it here.
Access Company Details
Click on the specific company name from the search results after entering the company name or registration number. You will then have access to the company’s more comprehensive information.
Your postal address is required while completing the application.
Enter your postal address and postal code as needed to move on with the process. Make certain that the Registrar of Companies receives only accurate information. After completing the necessary fields, press “Press and Continue.”
Make Payment
Select your desired payment method on the payment page. Make the KSH 650 payment and select the option that best fits you. After the money has been accepted, select “Confirm Payment.”
Get the Form CR12 now.
You will be sent to a page named “Application Details” after you complete the payment. You can obtain the Form CR12 from this page, which includes all the necessary company data, including details on the company’s directors.
