On Monday, July 31, KCSE Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced the placement of students at various universities and higher education institutions.

This is after numerous revisions for the learners to select courses they qualify for through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) platform.

Additionally, the CS opened a new website where students may apply for grants and loans from the Universities Fund and the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

How to Check Your Placement on the KUCCPS Platform

  • Students should use their personal information to log into the students.kuccps.net site.
  • Students must enter their username (KCSE complete index number), year (2022), and password (birth certificate number) in order to log in.
  • Once on the platform, the student will see a notification with placement information in the following format on the dashboard:

“Congratulations, followed by the university you have been placed then finally the course you will pursue.”

Students can also access their placement information by texting their Index Numbers to 20842 without any spaces or dashes.

Applications for admission to Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) have recently been opened by KUCCPS. The application is intended for anyone who completed the KCSE test between 2013 and 2022.

In order to facilitate a smooth transition, Machogu asked the school administration to make sure that parents as well as students receive the necessary information on reporting dates in a timely manner. He gave instructions to Principals and VCs to make sure that letters of admission are distributed by August 2, 2023.
