WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform, has enhanced the Forward feature that allows users to forward photos, videos, and documents from individual or group chats to other individual or group chats. 

This enhancement aims to make sharing media content more convenient and efficient for users.

When forwarding media, WhatsApp includes the original caption by default, providing additional context and information to the recipients. 

“However, users now have the flexibility to customize their messages further by either removing the caption or replacing it with their message before forwarding the media,” noted WhatsApp.

The process of forwarding media is simple:

1. Select the Media: Users can head to the chat containing the media they wish to forward and hover over the desired photo, video, or document. They will then see the option to click on the forward button (represented by an arrow icon).
2. Choose the Recipient: After clicking the forward button, users can search for or select the chat to which they want to send the media.
3. Customize the Message (Optional): Users can decide whether to include the existing caption along with the media or remove it altogether. Additionally, they have the option to replace the original caption with their personalized message.
4. Forward the Media: Once the desired changes are made, users can click the send button to forward the media with the chosen settings.

However, WhatsApp also clarifies that when forwarding multiple photos or videos, the option to add captions is not available. 

“This limitation ensures a streamlined and clutter-free experience when sharing multiple media files.”
