At the Guangzhou Auto Show, Huawei and Seres unveiled the Aito M9, a flagship SUV with a competitive price.
The Aito M9 is a full-sized SUV with dimensions of 5,230 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, as well as a generous 3,110 mm wheelbase. It comes in both electric-only and Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) version.
The electric model has a dual-motor configuration that is powered by Huawei technology. The front motor produces a 160 kW (214hp), while the rear motor produces an astonishing 230 kW (308hp). With a 97.682 kWh battery pack from CATL, this electric SUV can travel 630 kilometers on a single charge.
The EREV variant, on the other hand, comes with a 1.5T engine and two electric motors. The engine generates 112 kW (150hp) of power but solely serves as a generator. While the front motor generates 165 kW (221hp), the rear motor gives an additional 112 kW (150hp). This combination, in conjunction with a 40 kWh battery pack, provides a pure electric range of up to 175 kilometers.
Customers can reserve this SUV during the presale period for a down payment of RMB 5,000 (€652). Early birds will save €1,300 off the final purchase price, which is projected to range between RMB 500,000 and RMB 600,000 (€65,000 to €75,000). Furthermore, those who submit orders will be treated with the opportunity to see the plant where the Aito M9 is manufactured. According to Seres, over 20,000 presale orders have already been placed.
