Five startups, Letaji, Chestify AI, OneHealth, Sayna, and Koa Academy, have qualified for the 2023 MEST Africa Challenge‘s $50,000 Equity Prize.
These winners, spanning fintech, health tech, e-commerce, and edtech, triumphed over 40 competitors from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa in the MEST Africa Challenge.
The finalists, representing diverse sectors, will pitch for the prize at the end of January in an event organized by MEST Africa.
Letaji (Kenya) streamlines the construction industry, Chestify AI (Ghana) enhances patient care, OneHealth (Nigeria) provides an integrated health tech platform, Sayna (Senegal) offers IT edutainment, and Koa Academy (South Africa) pioneers online education.
The challenge is a pivotal initiative by MEST Africa, supporting tech startups across Africa.
MEST Africa, serving as a training program, seed fund, and hub network, is dedicated to empowering innovators in Africa’s tech startup scene.
The 2022 winner was Kwely, a B2B e-commerce startup from Senegal.
The challenge, in collaboration with Absa Bank, emphasizes collaborative efforts for Africa’s technological progress.
