Samsung is reportedly considering to switch to a square design like smart watch similar to the Apple watch according to Android police.
Samsung smartwatches usually have a rotating circular bezel that makes navigating through the UI. The square design will likely be similar to its previous models the Gear 2 and Gear Live.
Not much has been shared internally about the launch but it will be interesting to see how it will turn out.
Samsungs first Galaxy Gear sported a 1.6 inch super AMOLED display in a square shape that is similar to the current apple watch. Samsung switched to the the circular design with the Gear S2 and since then, they’ve maintained the same design for all their Wear OS watches. The shift will definitely bring mixed reactions considering the brand has maintained the rotating bezel design for ages.
