Cloud-based eSIM specialist Workz has introduced its latest remote device management solution tailored for the Internet of Things (IoT) sector.

This innovative platform aims to overcome the limitations typically associated with conventional technologies, such as restricted network options and cumbersome deployment processes.

Built on the upcoming eSIM standard for IoT set by the GSMA, known as SGP.32, Workz’s new offering offers numerous advantages over traditional M2M technologies like multi-IMSI and M2M eSIM.

It enables broader market coverage by managing devices previously considered unmanageable, including those with limited power or lacking a user interface.

Additionally, the solution enhances update success rates by communicating with inactive devices, even those switched off or out of network reach.

Workz also integrates smart automation features to streamline device management, reducing the need for manual resources.

The firm states that the launch aligns with the anticipated growth surge in the eSIM IoT market, forecasted by Juniper Research to skyrocket by nearly 700% in connections by 2028.

Telcos are gearing up for this surge, with the GSMA reporting that 60% are investing in staff upskilling and over half are increasing resources.

Workz, which established itself as an eSIM technology leader in 2021 by unveiling the first cloud-based eSIM management service, currently serves over 100 telcos worldwide.

Last year, Counterpoint Research recognized the platform as a significant industry innovation.

According to Edwin Haver, Workz’s Chief Information Officer, “This is to IoT what the mobile phone was to the landline. It enables businesses to have complete freedom to manage their devices at a fraction of the cost. Ultimately, this will unlock possibilities for providers and businesses of all sizes.”
