Samsung has been ranked among Kenya’s three strongest brands in the 2026 Superbrands East Africa rankings, emerging as the country’s leading electronics brand and the highest-ranked foreign brand across all sectors.

Samsung scored 89.622 in the rankings, which evaluated consumer perceptions of brand quality, reliability and distinction across 112 categories. The research, conducted by Kantar, places the electronics manufacturer among the most highly regarded brands in the Kenyan market. M-Pesa and Safaricom were in the first and second positions respectively.

The recognition highlights Samsung’s brand strength in a market where consumers increasingly consider product quality, reliability and trust when making purchasing decisions.

“Ranking among Kenya’s top three strongest brands is an affirming achievement for Samsung, particularly because this recognition comes directly from consumers,” said Nyawira Muraguri, Head of Corporate Marketing at Samsung Electronics East Africa.

She said the ranking reflected the trust Samsung had built in Kenya and the company’s continued focus on product quality, customer experience and innovation that responds to changing consumer needs.

The survey findings point to the influence of brand recognition on purchasing decisions. Some 86% of respondents said they were likely to purchase products or services carrying the Superbrands seal, while 84% said the recognition would increase their trust in a brand. A further 81% said the seal helps brands distinguish themselves from competitors.

Samsung operates across several consumer technology segments in Kenya, including smartphones, televisions, home appliances and connected devices. Its portfolio increasingly brings together products and services designed to improve convenience and enable connected living.

The company said it would continue focusing on innovation, connectivity and technology that supports everyday consumer needs as Kenya’s digital economy expands.

The Superbrands recognition adds to Samsung’s standing in Kenya’s consumer technology market, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s most trusted international brands.
