LG Introduces OLED M3 Series with Zero Connect Technology

LG has announced the OLED M3 series, a line of wireless TVs powered by their Zero Connect technology. The M3 series will consist of three models: the LG OLED77M3, LG OLED83M3, and LG OLED97M3. So far, only the largest model, the LG OLED97M3, has been formally announced and briefly demonstrated during LG’s press conference.

The M3 series will be similar to the G3 series previously revealed but will be able to transmit audio and video signals wirelessly through a process that doesn’t require any cables to be connected to the TV. LG will provide a box to house all of the necessary connectors, which will use their Zero Connect technology to ensure smooth, seamless transmission of signals.

One key difference between the M3 series and the G3 series is the Micro Lenses Array (MLA). The MLA is a microlens technology added to the OLED panel that allows the TV to produce a much higher peak of light, with LG claiming a gain of around 70% compared to their OLED Evo TVs from last year, with a light peak of up to 1,800 cd/m². While the G3 series will include the MLA technology on some of its models, only the 77-inch model will have it, and none of the M3 series models will feature the MLA.
