NicSocks is celebrating its one year anniversary today after being launched November 19th last year by South African serial entreprenuer Nic Haralambous.
“I could not be happier that we’ve managed to weather what many startups rightfully feel is the toughest part of a business; year 1! Many people thought I was absolutely crazy to start a company selling a real product, making it in South Africa with the aim of shipping globally. I’m ecstatic to report that we managed to that and much more,” Nic wrote on the company blog.
Nic added that NicSocks now ships to over 10 countries globally and caters to thousands of happy customers. The firm produces the socks locally from start to finish and all the fabric, labour, manufacturing, packaging is South African.
He is bullish that the firm will next year expand into other ‘wild and wonderful arenas’ and will be partnering with more incredible local designers and greatest artists. 2014 is a great year for NickSocks, he said.
After selling his company last year, Nic found that he had time to pursue his passion. It took him over 6 weeks to do registration, design, sourcing for manufacturer and building the eCommerce portal.
